Our last Quote/Picture/Video of the summer is fittingly about flowers.

People today hate silence. It’s too bad, because it’s in the silence that we find God – and often, ourselves. We hate silence so much that we can’t even go a few seconds between pitches at a baseball game without noises and sound effects being pumped in. Are we that afraid of hearing ourselves think?

Bill Mallonee is one of the best songwriters you’ve (probably) never heard of. If you like Dylan, Gram Parsons, and those types of folks, at least. He’s like them only with a poppier edge as well.
It’s always about the song with Mallonee and he releases dozens a year. “Flowers” has typically profound lyrics:
