It's a #Threequotes grab bag today. Topics: french fries, shoes, and wallpaper.
Guns don't kill people...french fries kill people?
French fries kill more people than guns and sharks, yet nobody's afraid of French fries.
-Robert Kiyosaki
The guy does has a point. And if you count people who are slowly dying because they eat a lot of French Fries the number goes up even more. Although French Fry Week still doesn't sound as scary or interesting as Shark Week. Maybe it's because people who die from French Fries die in a sad way, not an exciting way. How morbid is that?
Analogies are...?
Family love is messy, clinging, and of an annoying and repetitive pattern, like bad wallpaper.
-P. J. O'Rourke
Wallpaper is underused in the world of analogy. Clinging, annoying, and repetitive are just a few keen descriptive words for it. Who hasn't dated someone who's like wallpaper? Life can be like wallpaper. Or, as O'Rourke says, family. My view of family love isn't as bleak as hers, though. Families can certainly be like that, but usually its the fault of the family itself. It isn't the rule. Family love should be repetitive but in a positive way. I'll take strong, meaningful love every day, even if it is repetitive.
Facepalm
Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.
-Marilyn Monroe
Lots of stupid quotes attributed to Marilyn Monroe weren't said by her (they're far too sophisticated, however sophomoric they also are). I guarantee she said this one, though, because its stupidity equals that of the unfortunate icon. Aim higher, kids.
