Every day is a good day to be in love.
To love means loving the unlovable. To forgive means pardoning the unpardonable. Faith means believing the unbelievable. Hope means hoping when everything seems hopeless.
-G.K. Chesterton
Be in Love
Love is a virtue. It isn’t always easy. Living with a real sense of romance and adventure takes effort. But what in life that’s worth anything doesn’t take effort? Anything that’s worth anything isn’t easy.
Love sometimes isn’t easy because we have tough lives. We live in a tough world. We aren’t strong enough to live everyday like it’s Valentine’s Day or to always treat everyone like it’s their birthday. That’s why it’s appropriate to take special days and times to celebrate things like love, being in love, our friends and family on their birthdays, newness and resolutions at New Year’s, and so on.
For this week’s Daily Ramble’s I’m going to highlight things that fill me with love and make me love life. At first I thought this idea was too self-involved and insular. But it really isn’t. It’s nice to talk about people and things that you love. The point isn’t that it’s stuff that I love but that love exists and that these are the ways that it is alive in my life.
Somehow, being happy and being in love are underrated today. Choose to be in love.
A love song
