For those who don't know we're a blog and podcast that covers (as we say in our slogan) sports, music, culture, and more. The "culture and more" means we talk about news, politics, society, philosophy, literature...and, well, more. Anything that fits our fancy. The spice of life and all that.
For more information on who we are, what we do, and how we do it listen to our first podcast.
Autumn 2014 will brings some exciting new changes. We're adding to our regular blog and podcast output and expanding our web presence. Just a few of the new features include:
Bi-Monthly Podcasts (minimum)
After an initial influx of podcasts we sort of fell off (got back on?) the wagon. From now on we'll have a regular podcast schedule: every second and fourth Friday of the month. If we have the ambition we'll do more but hey, let's not get ahead of ourselves here.
Weekly Sports and Music Rambles
Rambles (some would call them blogs) have always been our foundation. Each weekly piece, sports on Thursday and music on Friday, will include anything from a few bullet points about notable people and newsworthy items to series of articles. Fittingly for our first week we'll start things backwards, as Thursday will feature a review of three new albums and Friday we'll release our NFL 2014 season predictions.
Song of the Day on Twitter
One important aspect of this new phase of Rambling On is expanding our music output. The Song of the Day will be from a variety of genres and show the many areas of music we plan to write about, including rock n' roll from all eras, folk, blues, r n' b, country, jazz, rap, and more.
Expanded presence on Facebook and Twitter
Although Facebook is getting less and less useful for the promotion of anything it's still important to have a social media presence. Twitter is a more useful, proactive forum, so we'll be more concentrating on that. We'll continue our popular live tweeting, whether it's of planned events like the MLB All-Star Game or a surprise (for example, randomly live-tweeting the entire Doors catalog as we did a few months ago).
I'll end like I began: by thanking everyone who reads/listens to Rambling On. You help us live our dream. I hope what we do adds something good to the universe.
