Rambling On was founded by Minnesota journalist and musician Erik Ritland in 2012. Its original emphasis was seriously fun commentary on sports, music, culture, and more.
In Fall 2016 Rambling On underwent some changes, separating each topic into its own category (The Music Ramble and The Sports Ramble) and expanding "culture" to include big and small ideas from the worlds of history, literature, philosophy, and politics (The Ragbag Ramble).
