Back by popular demand we’re doing another #QuotePictureVideo theme week. This round will highlight random faces from the worlds of sports, music, culture, and more. We begin with multifaceted, outspoken musical genius Frank Zappa.
What is stupid?
Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.
Like many minds of the 20th century, especially those on the radical left, Zappa had a harsh arrogant streak. The problem with the thinking this quote promotes is that “stupid” people to him, and those like him, are often simply those who disagree with his beliefs/morality. Ironically, those like Zappa almost always criticize organized religion for doing the same thing.
Fortunately he contained enough multitudes that this was easily forgivable. His intelligence and innovative spirit are what he’ll rightly be remembered for.
Zappa is (a) god
